“When you’re hanging there, 30 meters above a running underground river named Styx”
That’s the opening line of Speos. It’s a sci-fi documentary: a person has landed on a mountain in an unknown location. His mission is to enter the mountain through a huge underground tunnel system to find what some have called the Chamber of Silence – a chamber that lies deep within the darkness of the mountain.
Speos consists of actual recordings from this cave expedition, which form the basis of a musical-poetic sound journey; a sound journey that is published in stone – the Speos Mountains.
